Visiting College Students
Undergraduates who are matriculated and in good standing at other colleges and universities are welcome to enroll in the Wellesley College Summer Term. To register go to the Visiting Student Application.
As a student in the Wellesley College Summer Term, you will experience the same quality of instruction that Wellesley undergraduates receive during the academic year. Our courses are approved for regular college credit. One Wellesley College Course Unit (1.0) is the equivalent of four semester hours (4 Course Credits at other institutions).
For those who wish to transfer credits from Wellesley, please consult with the Registrar of your college or university in advance. Please note that the final determination of credit awards lies with your home institution.
US High School Juniors and Seniors
Rising high school juniors and seniors in good academic standing may enroll in the Wellesley College Summer Term. Wellesley College summer courses are college credit classes that you will be taking with college students and will be held to the same high academic standards. To register go to the Visiting Student Application (live on January 2nd, 2019).
Wellesley College Students Starting in the Fall
High school graduates who plan to enroll as full-time first-year students at Wellesley in the fall are not eligible for participation in Wellesley College's Summer Term prior to their first semester at the College. Our expectation is that our first-year students will begin their Wellesley experience by participating in New Student Orientation with the rest of their classmates and start their classroom work during the fall semester. Occasionally exceptions are made for entering students. If approved, any Wellesley Summer Term courses taken prior to your first semester will be counted toward the maximum total units (4), including units from AP courses, of college level work taken before matriculation that you may apply toward your Wellesley degree. If you would like to discuss the reasons why Summer Term might be right for you in advance of beginning the fall semester, please contact the Dean of First-Year Students at 781-283-2327.
If you are enrolled in at least 2 classes during either Summer Terms, Wellesley College will now be able to offer you immigration support. If you are currently in the U.S. in F-1 or J-1 visa status:
- As long as your status will be valid until the end of the summer or beyond, you may attend Wellesley Summer Term in your current status.
- Please check with your current school/program International Student Advisor to verify that you are eligible to study at Wellesley for the summer.
To register go to the Visiting Student Application (live on January 2nd, 2019).
